do you ever?

Do you ever have so much to do that you can't get anything done? I've got to finish a chapter and a half in my book today or else my publisher is going to hae a cow! And I don't blame her! I've been totally neglecting this whole thing because I hate everything about it. No mojo flowing on this baby, at all! Oh well, I never thought I'd see myself at Border's signing autographs . . .except for my mommie's book!

Going to see MENOPAUSE tonight with 17 girlfriends. GOOD TIMES! It should be a hoot. Hubby comes home from Pt. Arena today. Hopefully he'll have lots of news about his big deals going down the pipeline. And then MAYBE, just MAYBE, we can figure out wher eto go on a summer vacation. I'm totally tinking I just need to go to NYC. I really want to go there, but I'm so worried about humidity. How dumb is that? I'm also worried that when I get there, I'm gonna be disppointed. I hope I don't say, "Gosh, I could have gone to LA for this!" And then another part of me says, GO TO YELLOWSTONE AND JACKSON HOLE while the kids still think you're cool! LOL! When my parents took me, i could have thrown up the whole time. Miserable! but I was in high school. We only have a 2 more years before Hayden is in high school. Time is running out.

And last but not least . . . I'm getting discouraged with this whole submitting thing. So sure, no one needs to remind me that I jsut barely started submitting on Sunday. But seriously. I thought I would have heard something from someone by now. I haven't heard a word. Everything I submitted for has had toots flying around the pub with my name no where near the radar. I'm kinda sad. I think I just need to say, DONE. This is not for me. I like to scrapbook. Maybe I need to go talk to my LSS. WendyReedPea did a super cute booklet for her LSS. I wonder if she'd share the directions with me. I could teach that! Do I HAVE to come up with something totally original and my own? I wouldn't use the paper she used because our LSS doens't carry anything that cute! LOL!

ROLODEX Swap at Scraps Etc. Event

Wow! You found me! Well, I'm in no way "in charge" of this. I'm throwing this out there, not sure if anyone will particpate, but if you are participating, sign in here!

We'll make this totally informal . . . make up as many rolodex cards that you have patience for and swap them with the new friends that you meet at the event. Maybe we can use some sort of "signal" that shows you have cards to swap, like tying a pink bow to your name tag or something.

This may already be a common practice at these type of events. I wouldn't know because I've never ever been to somethiing like this. I'm just thinking this would be fun! So, if you're game, sign in here with a comment on this post with your name, MB ID, and email.

got a little done, finally!

I've been in this totally eclectic mood lately! Here are a couple LO's I finished today. I think they are kinda fun. Just fun to look at . . my kids love em and that's what counts!

I'm officially nuts! I'm going to this event in Birmingham, AL! I just booked my flight and paid my registration today. I booked the hotel a long time ago. So I kinda new I was going, but now it's official. I'm so excited, I could scream! I get to learn from Heidi and Elsie, my favs! I was going to go to CKU, but it just doesn't interest me nearly as much as this line-up does, so WOO HOO!!!!! Now, I need to get my rear in gear and get some pictures taken and printed out. Oh man, I'm on cloud 9 right now!

photo course in session

Well, I know this is my second post, but lately I've been upset with my camera. I have a Canon Digital Rebel. I got a kick butt lense from DH for Christmas, but I still am unhappy with the results. So, I set out on the Internet today to find a photography course that could help me learn how to use my camera better. OK, so I only completed lesson 2, but I can already see an improvment. One thing I've been wanting to learn how to do is to blur the background. I USED to be able to do this, but now I can't figure anything out! But, I think I learned some pretty cool tricks! The first picture shows how I would have taken a shot and how frustrated I would be over it. The second, shows how I messed with the lighting setting and the ISO speed. I think there is a huge improvement and I got the look I wanted . . .a blured background.

the time is now!

I can totally feel it comin' on baby! I took some time today and submitted some work to some magazines and contests via the pub calendar. I've done all the ones I could up until March 27. So now I'm going to make a resolution to submit my work on a regular basis. It felt good because I feel like I've done some truly worthy LO's! LOL!! As I get better and better, I realize that my style is very, well busy! I like busy LO's! I like to stare at a LO for 5 minutes or longer and see all the creative juice flowing and read the heartfelt journaling. But, funny thing is, I find myself doing very simple LO's after a busy LO! That's ok too. As long as I do them and create a memory for my kids, and exercise my creativity, it's all good! Check out my latest LO. Lovin it!

HOF! OMG!

Uh yeah . . .no! I didn't even enter because I'd fall hard! I mean, I'd be crushed, so I saved myself the misery. Anyway, the veggie site is rockin today with HOF calls. It's very exciting and I'm thrilled about all the girls that are getting calls. My next post is going to be a post about everyone that inspires me. Church ROCKED today!

It was packed! We had so many kids doing Profession of Faith. OUTSTANDING! Baptism! Transfer of memberships. Oh my! Our church is growing like a weed! It's crazy good! And our sermon . . .well, our sermon was on the 7th commandment (I think it's the 7th): Thou shall not committ adultry. :0 Yes! It was just a little tiny bit uncomfortable sitting in church with out kids, but hey, it is in the Bible and they need to know that it is not ok. And that sex before marriage is not ok. Only within marriage. So yea . . . it was interesting, and PG-13 at times, but it was all good. Funny to watch some people squirm in their seats. As my friend said afterward, "Hey! At least we KNOW not to make eye contact with anyone!" Laughed so hard at that one. I would never committ adultry . . . I can't even handle what I'm supposed to do, let alone on the side! LOL!!! Have a great Sunday girlies! Oh, the picture I took today is of my son and his new possee. Lucy is in there . .she's the only female. Let's hope they are all fixed, otherwise I'll have another birds and be rest are fixed!

Can it get any worse?

I'm sick. So sick. I'm throwing up and I have diarrhea. Just about had it with this body. Can I cash it in? On a positive note, I've lost 10 pounds since 2/24. I'm happy with that! So I'll be in an out of the boards until I feel better. Hopefully I can post something productive.

My first scrapbook 2 page LO kit is for sale!!!

I'm over the top, jumping on the couch, so excited to see my first 2 page LO kit for sale on ScrapbookingSwede.com. I've never been on a scrapbook design team and this is my first experience and kit. I had a few blunders creating it, but all in all, I'm pleased. I was inspired by a BH sketch, so I can't call it my own sketch, but the rest is mine! I had to make it purty! I had good subjects. Although, my DD looks like she's a little, um, high on cake? Or maybe she looks full???? I thought it was a funny pic and she'll hate me for it in 20 years! LOL!

New Kit Club

The ideas are awesome. So different, so unique. I have never seen something so fabulous. Now THIS makes me happy. Getting the March kit in the mail would MAKE MY DAY! Getting on their DT would MAKE MY YEAR! Actually, I'd pay HER to let me be on the team. Just to have an insight into her mind would be fabulous. FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where do I begin?

I'm depressed, I think. I'm totally addicted to this computer. I'm on it all day and I'm getting nothing done. It's ridiculous. Part of my problem is my back. But I could be doing so much more. That is just an excuse now. I think I'm depressed. I could barely smile last night and I felt like I could cry at the drop of a hat. I'm just finishing my period, so it can't be that. I don't know. I guess I just feel like I need a new friend. I need someone who can get me out of this house doing stuff. Don't worry about me. I'm going to be fine, but I think I need to get some help. This stinks.
